Demon of Pornography
TV shows like The Drew Carey Show make light of pornography, acting like it’s no big deal while they make jokes about it, but in reality, when someone gets addicted to pornography because of a demon, it will ruin that person’s life.
That scenario occurs every day, especially when pornography is just a few seconds and clicks away. Years ago pornography was less common because the person would have to go out and find it. Not anymore.
Note: Before the internet, I remember seeing bumper stickers that said, “Real Men Don’t Use Porn.” Look how far the addiction has spread.
Warning signs:
The fact that you feel overwhelming regret after you’ve looked at pornography is a sign that it’s a demon of pornography.
Note: That temptation to look at pornography came from the same demon who is now condemning you for it. Think about that.
As a result of living with a demon of pornography, the person can suffer from one or more of these psychological issues: depression; thoughts running rampant and out of control; never having any real peace (the person might use alcohol or drugs in order to attain it); having low self worth and esteem; thoughts of suicide; difficulty going to sleep because of the constant pornographic thoughts going through your mind; and lack of control over the addiction.
The temptation can get stronger if he or she simply tries to ignore it.
Note: After you caved in to the temptation the first time, you might get tempted again soon thereafter. Yes, you’ll feel worse after doing it the second time, but demons tempting you to repeat the sin are doing it for another reason: “As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool returns to his fallen.” ↗Proverbs 26:11
Demons are full of hatred, so they want you to return to your vomit.
Further warning signs that it’s a demon of pornography:
The person that has a demon of pornography around them (or any demon, for that matter) is unstable. They’ll go through life as if they’re a puppet rag doll having their strings constantly being pulled. They’ll suffer from mood swings; uncontrollable anger; lack of natural joy and happiness (those emotions simply don’t exist anymore); regrets for things they normally wouldn’t regret about. And finally, they can find themselves needing psychotic prescription medicines in order to bring some kind of stability to the emotional chaos (while not realizing that the chaos wouldn’t exist if the demon simply wasn’t there).
How to be delivered:
Note: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” ↗John 1:91
If you want to be delivered from a demon of pornography, the first thing you need to do, if you haven’t already done so, is repent: “Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn away from my sins and invite you to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. In your name of Jesus I pray. Amen.” ↗Prayer by Billy Graham
If you’re already a Christian but you’re addicted to pornography, you need to get on your knees everyday and surrender ALL to him. Absolutely everything in your life. Relationships, work, home, sins, lack of faith and/or trust in him, addictions, your future, bills, money, your body, your mind, and your eternity. Everything.
He already knows your sins, but he simply wants you to talk to him about them.
Final Note: The addiction to opioids (Hydrocodone, Oxycontin, Oxycodone, etc.) is at an all time high. I’ve explained to you here all the psychological problems that can occur when a demon is attached to a person, in this case a demon of pornography. It is very curious that addictions to pornography, which is demonic most of the time (if not, all the time), has risen the same time as opioid addictions.
