The organized “church” always uses this verse to enforce attendance to the one-man minister paradigm assembly: “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more as you see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25
And that’s what we are to do. We exhort one another when we come together.
Hebrews 10:24 supports the idea, “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.”
1 Cor. 12: 7-21 speaks of EVERY member functioning with their gifts in the assembly. To solidify that construct, here is 1 Cor. 14:26 “How is it then, brothers? When you come together (assembly/church), every one of you (that means, all the people) has a psalm, doctrine, tongue, revelation, and an interpretation…let all things be done (allow the members of the body to use what God has given them) unto edifying!”
There are 58 one-to-another verses. How do we propose to fulfill those commands by staring at the back of someone’s head for an hour?
