Reading Time: < 1 minute
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another.” 1 John 1:7 This is the sacrifice of God: “A broken spirit and a broken and contrite heart He will not despise!” Psalm 51:17
Therein lies the major problem. No brokenness, no contriteness, no humility, no unreserved surrender, no light!
Now toss this travesty into the mix. The average “church” service, which does not really serve, but takes, is diametrically opposed to the biblical construct and concept of spiritual fellowship between brethren.
The inclusiveness of all the gifts and functions being experientially manifested by the full-body expression is not allowed nor can be because of the traditions and caste invented by men through the centuries that make void His word and design. Mark 7:13 Result: no light, no fellowship – unless you can call the five minute football talk after the meeting fellowship. Not punching a hole in a football but when we assemble, it should be for a higher reason. See: 1 Cor. 12 and 14, Romans 12, and Ephesians 4.
A family setting. In-home, far more conducive for the scriptural pattern. No big I’s, no little you’s.
