LEESLEY FILMS IS LOCATED IN COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA,
A SUBURB OF OMAHA, NE.
Author and Director James Leesley decided to film his screenplay "Apparition" after he got his first book "Another Secret Part One: Tell the World Hell Does Exist," published, a Christian novel about a team of gold miners that accidentally finds Hell.
But, he doesn't simply want to make more Christian films like the other ones that already exist, "I feel that Christian movies lack what people really need, both believers and non-believers. I think they're tired of the same-ole message saying 'go to church,' like you see in every other Christian movie; most of them have probably already been to a church and can give you directions to any one of them. Those types of Christian movies are a cliche anymore. What people really need are the type of answers, that I believe, have not been addressed in Christian films. Such as, in our case with the film 'Apparition': 'Do demons really exist? Do they really have an effect on me personally? Or, on people in-general?' Or, 'What do I do when I know one of them is standing around me?'
When Christian movies get such a bad rap from the unbelievers because they [Christian films] always have the exact same message - 'go to church,' then it's time to step back, before you write any screenplay, and ask yourself, 'what kind of movie will draw the unsaved to go see it?' And that is exactly what we're doing with 'Apparition.' People are curious about ghosts. So, we're going to tell the truth about them. No fiction, no fantasy stuff, just the truth about what these things really are. None of this has been addressed to this extent in any other Christian movie I know of."

When can we expect to see the movie?
"Our deadline is this January." (2013)
How is filming going with a low budget?
"It could be difficult at times. We had support from local businesses who've donated props, locations to film at, and food. But we're not at the end of filming this yet, that's why we've started asking for help."
How long will the movie be?
"Just over 2 hours?"
What's it going to be rated?
"Probably PG because of the topic that we are addressing."
What are your plans for "Apparition" when you're done filming it?
"Push the movie everywhere - theater companies, distributors, oversees distribution, everywhere."
Do you plan to film your book "Another Secret?"
"Absolutely. That's what we want to film next, but it's only what God has planned for us. He gets all credit."
Where can people donate?
"We have a PayPal account. People who contribute will get some rewards for helping us. Including: the title of "Executive Producer" in the credits of the film, a free copy of the movie, including the soundtrack to it, a free movie poster, and we'll put the link of their website onto ours."
